To help you heal, follow these icing instructions if you continue to have pain.  The guy who taught me this was the Olympic bobsled trainer.


Icing Instructions:

#1 Use real ice…it goes deeper into the tissues than blue gel packs.

#2 Put ice cubes or crushed ice into a zip lock FREEZER bag.

#3 Add some water to make it slushy… it will conform to your body better.

#4 Ice for 20-30 minutes… on the skin…don’t wrap it in a towel.

#5 Don’t fall asleep

#6 If you never know what to do… use ice.

#7 Getting ice on an injury within 24 hours can decrease your healing time by almost half.

#8 You can ice every 2 hours if necessary
